Silent Wings by George Masswohl
As a leading man in the musical theatre, George is perhaps best known for: his acclaimed run as the Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland in the all-Canadian company of Come From Away; his Vancouver, Toronto, and St. John’s turns as Sweeney Todd; and as Ron in Canadian Stage's production of the groundbreaking London Road. George is a Dora Mavor Moore Award winner, with 5 nominations, a Broadway World Award winner (for his performance in Come From Away), and a Jessie Richardson Award nominee.
George is the lead singer for Newfoundland folk/roots/country band The Rowdymen, and owns and operates George’s Tours, NL, a bespoke tour company in St. John’s.

Addicted to Love by Giovanni Campisi
Born in Noto, Sicily, Giovanni Campisi is a paragon of resilience, passion, and dedication to the art of baking. His career, now internationally recognized, began in a world far removed from the kitchen: construction. Today as a chef, his baking technique, discipline, and passion demonstrates how every failure can be the prelude to a new rebirth, and how with commitment and perseverance, dreams that seemed impossible can be realized. In 2022, he received the "Chef of the Year" award in Toronto and participated in the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, further cementing his reputation in the North American scene.

Something's Coming, Hannah Fogel Vocalist
Hannah fell in love with the resonance of ensemble casts while singing in the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus. A comedian and singer/songwriter, Hannah applied the development of Truth and Illusion to her own recovery journey, with the help of June Cupido’s story-weaving magic. Now completing her studies, Hannah has seen how laughter, creative expression and psychodynamic exploration of narrative can fruitfully benefit overall health, and one’s search for deeper meaning.

You Put a Spell on Me by Julianne Smith
Julianne is a born and raised Calgarian. She grew up doing competitive dance and voice, and started working professionally in regional theatre, where she found her true passion for musical theatre. Select credits include: Billy Elliot and Christmas Carol (Theatre Calgary) and Mary Poppins (Storybook Theatre). She was a Young Canadian of the Calgary Stampede for five years, where she performed in the Grandstand show. Julianne is a Sheridan College student completing her BFA in Music Theatre Performance. Julianne is thrilled to be sharing her stories with Story Slams!

Michael Mulrooney Music Director Story Slams
Michael Mulrooney studied piano, conducting, and voice at University of Toronto and has pursued an eclectic musical career centred on theatre. He has served as musical director, conductor, pianist, arranger, and/or composer on over 200 theatrical productions of every conceivable shape and size. He works as music director for Grace United Church in Burlington and as an adjunct professor at Sheridan College.

Drummer Jennifer Luxmore-Begin
Jennifer is an elementary music educator, song carrier and drummer and a beadwork and fabric artist. Jenn is a member of Mattagami First Nation. She is passionate about amplifying the voices of women and reclaiming ancestral knowledge. She is the creator of the 13 Moons of Creation: Lunar Calendar. a sister in the Indigenous Women’s Collective, Grandmother’s Voice and Water Walker.
